Did ya miss me? Did ya, Did ya?
We went on our 6th annual Disney Family vacation and boy did we have a good time. We did a ton of walking so I am still recuperating but we did get to do a lot. Because we were there during the week (not the weekend) and it is what's considered the off season, there was little to no waiting on many of the attractions we went on. Besides the rides at Epcot and Animal Kingdom, the same held true for the Magic Kingdom. Pirates of the Caribbean, Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, The Laugh Floor and The Haunted House were no wait attractions leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the pool for several hours.
On our first night we ate at Japan in Epcot. It's an upstairs restaurant and we were seated up front which is all glass. Dinner was at 8:45 so we got to see all the fireworks.
On our last night we at in Canada's Le Cellier and it was the best meal I have ever had in any of the Disney restaurants. It was a bit pricey but we are always prepared for that on our family trips.
Our check out was at 11AM on Saturday which happened to be my son's birthday. This year, Disney's policy is to give you a free ticket to get into any park free. But if you have a season pass, as we all do, they give you a gift card with the value of the entry fee instead. So my son walked over to Epcot to get his gift card while the rest of us hung out at the pool.
We all finally left in the late afternoon (though we all wanted to stay longer). My son stopped at a local gas station and who do you think he ran into?

Haha I thought - before I read it and recognized him - that the tattooed man was your son! What a great way to end a great vacation...meeting The Rock. Great to hear you had a such fun.
I missed you and I am glad you're back but more importantly glad you have a wonderful time on vacation.
Welcome back, sounds like you had a great time. And how cool was that to meet the rock at the gas station.
I love reading about Disney World. We had season's passes when we lived in Winter Park. It was so much fun with my son from age 7 to 13.
I absolutely love Disney World and can't wait to go back again! AND you got to meet the Rock! I do like him, easy on the eyes too! Glad you had a good time.
Oh, that sounds like a great vacation! Disney is expensive, but they never fail to deliver a fantastic time for all.
Looks like "The Rock" was nice to you all. His smile looks genuine, which is nice to see when you meet a celeb. Cute photo!
So, was The Rock actually filling up his own gas tank?!
Sounds like you had a blast!Great photo of the kids with The Rock.
Have a 5-year old and this year was our 3rd annual Disney vacation... we went a couple weeks ago... like you, we go off season and hit the park on a weekday... Yeah for no lines AND much lower hotel rates! Did luau dinner @ Polynesian for 2nd year in a row this year & also first time dinner @ California Grill at same time as fireworks.
