It was quite a while ago that I was making quilts for Quilts for Kids. A great organization with a large following. When you sign up they will send you fabric and instructions to make a quilt for a child. You make the complete quilt, start to finish and send it to them. I have gotten to a point where I like to make the blocks and don't mind putting them together, but that's as far as I like to go. I dislike machine quilting and I am not very good at it.
I have discovered Stash Builder Box Heart Builders. They are currently making quilts for abused and neglected children entering crisis and foster care. They will send you some fabric and you can make whatever top you wish to create. You send them the top back and it goes on to a long arm quilter for completion. That's just the way I like it. Here is my first top.....
