The Trouble with Red

Sophie had advised us some time ago, that March's Lotto blocks would be using red. I would be needing 9 different red fabrics. No problem, I thought, I have plenty. I pulled out a piece of red, then another, but the second one looked more like orange next to the first one. I pulled another one, it looked like a dark pink, and the fourth piece looked too maroon. From now on, if I say red, I think the word needs some adjectives.
Anyway, take it or leave it here are my 9 March Block Lotto Blocks. They were a lot easier than February's block and would be a good block for a beginner to make. I really enjoyed making these. Why don't you join us?

Anytime you try to do a two-color quilt, you will find how very different the colors are. Isn't it crazy???! I made a blue and white quilt years ago and it was nuts trying to match blues. Ugh. But it is lovely...
