Fabric Postcards

I have created some new fabric postcards for my etsy shop. I'm not so sure I like the way my new easel looks but at least the cards look more square than before.

I don't think the average viewer realizes how much work is involved in making these little art works. All that buttonhole stitching around each letter or design is very time consuming. I have been selling them for $5.00 and I wonder if that price is too low. Do you think I should raise the price to $6.00. Let me know what you think.

Those are fantastic. I don't know what all goes in to those but it does look like a lot of work involved. I think that $6 sounds very reasonable for something like that. Are you including the easel also? If so I would go even higher.

These are absolutely beautiful. $6.00 is not to high. I just paid 5.oo for a paper one. Everyone likes something better that is home made. That stitching is quite a lot of work. Outstanding job. I too wondered if you are including the little stand, because then you should be asking more for sure. Have a wonderful Labor Day. Country hugs, Sherry

Very nice!! About the price? Are you making minimum wage? Plus materials, time for photos and for listing and.....? It seems to me that Etsy action has really shoved the price of handmade way, way down. It's kind of ironic...and IMHO, it's a shame for working artists.

I love them!! Very creative and really darling. It's an easy answer (from one who knows) - $6 is not unreasonable. I know you want to sell them (as any artist does) - but you'll wind up feeling taken advantage of if you sell yourself short. Besides, if someone wants them - and realizes the quality (whether they realize the work or not) - they'll pay the extra $1. xx

I'm soooo excited that you posted these on your blog!

I just ordered the Thank you one! I'm not sure about the price. As the consumer I will DEFINATELY buy more at that price; however, as the maker I can understand how much work you put into them. Sorry, I don't have a straight answer.

Those are very nice. If you can't keep them in stock, then you should raise them to 8-10 dollars. Way too much work for $6.
