Be Attitudes Block 1

I didn't want to sound like a cry baby so I failed to mention that I have been sick since December 28. It's that miserable head cold that's been going around. It is likely the reason for my lack of ambition. I didn't start to feel better until I got to the theater last Saturday.
I got a small burst of enthusiasm yesterday and decided to start on the Be Attitudes. I added an old collection of Thimbleberries to the Moda fat quarters and I think I've got a winning combination. The first block is called Be Warm, rather fitting considering the weather that is sweeping the country.

I am usually the first one to critize my own work, but I have to admit I really like the way this turned out. I think I'll start block 2 and not even wait for February. I like it so much, I think I'll spend the arm and a leg to purchase the specialty buttons that were created for this project. After all, the snowman has to have a nose.

Adorable block and I agree so appropriate for this time of year. The current weather patterns make me REAL glad we've moved to Florida. Too bad the cold followed us! lol

That has got to be the most adorable block I've ever seen. I love it. Hope that head cold has finally left you.

I've been working on this as a block of the month project (since last year)! I love all of the Nancy Halverson projects and overcame my fear of applique by doing this project. Of course, I think I've only completed the first four blocks, I sort of get distracted!
You did a great job, and I think the buttons are worth it, they're so cute!

Be Attitudes is such a sweet quilt. Sometimes it's good to splurge on supplies for a special project! Sorry about your cold...I had mine starting the day before thanksgiving! I'll bet the unseasonably cold weather isn't helping much!

Hope you feel better soon! I found you while I was blog hopping this morning.

That snowman is soooo cute and he'll even be cuter with his (expensive!) little nose!! :)
