New in the Shop

I constantly get these emails from Etsy about some cool (or what they think is cool) new items in sellers shops. It really confuses me. Some of the stuff has prices that I just can't figure out. They showed a purse the other day that was $9,100. Yes, you read that right. Forget whether the purse was cute or not (I personally thought it was the goofiest thing I ever saw) who in their right mind spends that kind of money on a purse? On the other side of the coin, there was a listing for silver spoon garden markers. Cute idea, but have you ever priced a silver spoon? How can she sell these at $7 each and make any money doing it? I know what you're thinking, maybe they are not silver, maybe not, but her ad says silver, not plated.
There seems to be a rash of weird going on too. There is some stuff being promoted that just makes me kringe to look at. I would love to give you links and let you decide for yourself, but I have enough enemies in cyberspace, I don't need any more.

So with all that craziness going on over at Etsy, I will be listing my newest, unusual but not weird, most reasonably priced postcards

Quilters Flower

Baby Bird

Turtle

Dinosaur

Lady Bug

I wouldn't care if it was the best looking purse I ever saw, no way would I ever pay 9000 for a purse, that just craziness. I do love your postcards though, they're adorable.

That is insane! Who is nuts enough to pay that?!?! Not me for sure. I love the dino postcard by the way!

Very cute new cards...I love little critters, though, so I'm a sucker for bugs, etc. And yes, I'm flummoxed about some of the junk that ends up on their "front page" or things their newsletters promote...I have decided that none of their staff has any art training that I can discern (speaking as an art teacher....)

There's not much I'd pay Nine grand for. However I love the baby bird postcard. How much are they?

I gave up long ago trying to figure out what gives with Etsy's tastes. Seems the weirder you are, the more likely it is you will end up on the front page or being interviewed by the Storque :o) Your work is lovely, and I can't wait to see the Beattitudes quilt when you are all finished!

I have actually been scolded by fellow Etsians saying my prices are too low, and brings down their reputations, or some nonsense like that. It can be weird sometimes, and I have seen some weird items, with even weirder prices, but that is what crafting is, being creative. Doesn't mean I would buy it though.

I'd like to purchase the turtle postcard from you. I didn't see it yet in your Etsy shop though.
