Chocolate and .......

It seems to be everywhere I look I see chocolate and .......

Here is some chocolate and blue I saw at Red Geranium Cottage

At Christmas, How about Orange had this lime green and chocolate table setting.

There's chocolate and pink, and chocolate and orange.

I love chocolate as much as the next person, in fact I really, really love dark chocolate, but all this chocolate is starting to make my teeth hurt. Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if it all didn't look so 50s. If you want my opinion (I know you don't but you are reading this and going to get it anyway), the 50s had the worst styles ever. I look at pictures of myself in the 50's and say "what was my mother thinking, what an awful outfit". The architecture was awful and so was art design.

So, while I'm trashing the 50's can someone please tell me what's up with the word "vintage"? This is something else that seems to be everywhere lately. It is no longer antique, nor is it old, it is vintage. What does that mean? I only ask because when I see the word vintage, the picture attached to it looks like the 50's to me. YUK!

I don't get the vintage deal either. It's just old (and ugly, in my view)...not a big fan of the 50's either.
